The RPS Hawk 250 is the bike that got me back into riding again after recovering from a serious back injury that has kept me from riding for 17 years. I wanted too buy a bike that was new and inexpensive but didn’t want to spend a bunch of money in case it didn’t work out. So, I took a chance and purchased the Hawk for $1,099 delivered to my door in a crate. I figured if it didn’t work out, i could turn around and sell it with minimal lose. The Hawk turned out to be a good bike once you assembled it and worked out the minor bugs. Simple mods like fine tuning the stock carburetor, replacing sprockets to give it a higher gear ratio for street riding. I didn’t even know if I could get it registered and tagged, but that didn’t matter because i was planning to use it for off-road trail riding more than anything. Getting is registered and tagged was a bonus, Once I’ve done all the mods, the Hawk was very street worthy. I’ve put over 9,000 miles on the Hawk and has been a very reliable bike for a fraction of the cost of any Japanese bike. I have no regrets purchasing this bike and the many other after this.
